Jeff White is a true Huntsville native. Born in Huntsville Hospital, he grew up in the area and worked in his grandfather’s studio, which launched his love for photography. He attended the University of Alabama, majoring in Fine Arts with a focus on Advertising. While there, Jeff ran the Student Theatre as well as breakfast and lunch at the student center. He was the first person to introduce a salad bar to the Ferg.

After college, Jeff launched his photography career and has traveled extensively around the country, from Alaska to California, Colorado, Florida, Boston, and Atlanta. However, he never found anywhere as great as Huntsville, and always returned. He and his wife, who is also a Huntsville native, have four children, all still in the North Alabama area. Jeff is heavily involved in local theatre and politics. He is involved in improv and live theatre and has starred as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol for many years at Fantasy Playhouse. His wife is an executive producer and talented actress, having completed over 13 years in the Sanders Family Christmas.

Jeff has built on his grandfather’s photography legacy and uses some of his grandfather’s equipment in his studio today. He first started professionally working with Zap Photos while at Alabama. Jeff has many distinguished photography accomplishments, ranging from large national campaigns to individuals and families. He truly loves the smiles and reactions he sees when his customers receive their professional photos from him.

Jeff was drawn to the Hospitality Association as he worked in the industry, and he kept seeing the same people over and over. He realized that those people were the type of people with whom he wanted to do business: professional hard workers, pro Huntsville, and just great people. Jeff especially loves the Pineapple Awards event. Jeff supports the Huntsville / Madison County Hospitality Association because he knows it’s a group of people actively working to make Huntsville an even better place to live and succeeding in making a positive impact. There are a few select nonprofits that Jeff provides highly discounted or free photography services, and the Hospitality Association is so fortunate to be one of those. Jeff sees a great future for the association, as long as we can continue to bring in new members and ideas, while continuing to meet the needs of the existing members.
